There are foreign workers like this one...
...and these ones.
A May 1, 2008 Washington Times article quoted CIA Director Michael Hayden saying that Russia's declining population will require them to bring in foreign workers which will increase racial and religious tensions. The CIA analysts failed to see a more interesting and dangerous (for the USA) scenario.
What if Russia decides to keep out third world immigrants and instead welcome Europeans from anywhere in the world. Right now few people would go, but if Russia improves its judicial system and infrastructure and if Europe and the US continue their demographic changes, Russia will look more appealing. Even now poor whites living in a big American city would be better off (socially if not economically) living in Russia.
When Christian Europeans become a minority in Europe, as they are destined to do, many will want to leave. There is a history of this white flight in American cities and also in South Africa and Zimbabwe when they lost control of their governments. I wrote a book on this topic with a different scenario (Americans moving to Western Europe rather than Russia.) But that is becoming less likely every year.
If Russia takes bold measures to keep out non-European immigrants it may suffer economic hardship for a short period of time. But someday it will be a place of refuge for European Christians who want to live among their own kind, and many do. Russia has already encouraged its people to have more children and taken steps to remove illegal aliens.
If demographic trends continue in Europe and the USA, as many as 100 million people may seek refuge in Russia around the middle of this century. These will not be poor people looking for better government benefits or providing cheap labor. Some will be wealthy. This will cause massive loss of confidence in our government and an economic crisis in the U.S. and Western Europe. Furthermore the newly free nations of Eastern Europe may want to break away from the European Union before it is too late and embrace a free and prosperous Russia. As early as 2050 Russia could be the richest and nicest place in the world while the U.S. would be in hopeless decline.
