Xristos Voskrese! (Христос Воскресе!)

This year Russian Orthodox Christians join Protestants and Catholics around the world today in celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Russia Blog wishes all of our readers a very happy holiday!

You can listen to Orthodox Christian liturgy and music (mostly in English, but with some Greek and Russian) streamed over the web 24 hours a day via the Ancient Faith Radio website. If you have already downloaded RealPlayer or WindowsMedia for free, you can follow this link and then click "Listen".

You can also watch a YouTube video of an Orthodox Pascha (Easter) service here:

Traditional Orthodox Pascha chant:
Христос воскресе из мертвых, смертию смерть поправ. И сущим во гробех
живот даровав.

"Xristos Voskrese iz mertvykh, smertiyu smert poprav. I suschim vo
grobekh zhivot darovav."

"Christ is risen from the dead, trampling death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life."
