Dnevnoy Dozor ("Day Watch"), the sequel to Nochnoy Dozor ("Night Watch") made $20 million dollars in the Russian and Eastern European movie theaters in the first 10 days since its release - reports Gazeta.Ru. The Ukrainian Rada (Congress) exercised its new Constitutional prerogative and sacked the entire cabinet of ministers. The amazing part is that no one can legally appoint a new cabinet until the end of March, when the other amendments will come in force. This decision came very unexpectedly for Victor Yuschenko, who is in Kazakhstan, attending the inauguration of Nursultan Nazarbaev.
Yuschenko was shocked and couldn’t give any comments at the spot; there is also another stressful matter to be taken care of – tonight was the first meeting of Yuschenko and Putin since the gas dispute has broken out between Russia and Ukraine. To top the day's Russian news – at 8:30 pm an Armenian citizen was killed by four skinheads. No one was has been arrested yet in connection with the murder.
